• Help! I'm lost!

Where've they put the friends' posts bit that used to be on the home page?

AND, Recent Posts on the home page - as well as the individual blog titles being clickable, you used to be able to click the blog name too so it brought up the whole blog (and nothing but the blog). Hmph.

(muffled whispers) "She hasn't been back five minutes and she's already complaining. Somebody please ram that bloody Fab lolly down her throat."

Which, incidentally, aren't as big as they used to be. Double hmph.

Edit: It's okay, I've found myblog (made by me, apparently) and The Buzz...

  • It's Been Awhile

I don't know what to say.

    Hello?

*Clenches fists, teeth and eyes(??) in desperate attempt to avoid a cringy Lionel Richie outburst*

My last post here was 20th Jan. Wow. Have I been sulking for that long?

Actually, yes. Well, that would've been about the time of my little car accident which reduced me to a nervous, gibbering wreck for about... 2 days. The rest of it I can't account for, other than periods of highs and lows and not feeling worthy of the byte space provided to me by BCUK, amongst others. Even though I pay for it now. That's right. I become Pro then don't touch the thing for months. Tut.

Incidentally, I see it's all been refurbed around here. Nice of you to welcome me back like this guys but really, you shouldn't have gone to all that trouble. You know that before long someone will upset me and I'll throw another strop and go back into my shell for another 6 months, so really, it's wasted effort. Thanks anyway, looks good.

I don't like my new avatar much. I was in a 'black' mood at the time. Makes me look a bit 'emo'. Like I should be wearing nothing but black, listening to My Chemical Romance and crying all the time.

    Oh.

Anyway, I'll make it my aim to find a new one tout de suite.

Now. As it appears to be one of 'those' nights, ie one of much deprivation of snoozement to which I have - of late - become accustomed, shall I go and get myself a Fab lolly from the freezer?

    Anyone?

I'll take that as a 'yes'.

  • Can't cope, can't cope!

I've been away for a while. I've got a few hundred thousand blog posts to catch up on.

Sorry if I'm a bit slow to respond.

I've got to go and lie down. It's all a bit much.

*Raises back of hand to forehead, pivots on the spot and sleeks off into the darkness*

  • I'm not going to comment

I'm not going to comment on Big Brother.

I'm not going to comment on the fact that the real problem, ie bullying, has been overshadowed by the issue of 'racism'.

I'm not going to comment on the fact that the press, parliament and TV bosses have all blown this up out of proportion in a bid to sell papers, win votes and boost ratings, respectively. They are all missing the point big-time, in that the problem here is one silly little chav having a chip on her shoulder about the fact that she doesn't even come close to the natural beauty of her Indian housemate, not being able to deal with it and using jealousy-fuelled bullying to try and bring her down.

I'm not commenting because I'm sure it's all been said before. I just can't be bothered to read about it.

  • I hate me

    Just wanted to say that.

  • Is it just...

...my Yahoo messenger that ist kaputt, or is it a widespread problem, I wonder?

I junked MSN Messenger because of its unreliability. Now they've teamed up with Yahoo, I'm getting Yahoo IM problems.

Doesn't take a genius to work out what the problem is.

Unless, of course, it's something that I've inadvertently done whilst blindly fiddling around with settings, not knowing what the hell I'm doing really but blagging my way through my reputation in the family as being the one who 'knows about computers'.

Hah! As the old adage goes, 'Just because she spends all day on a computer, it doesn't mean she knows how to program it.'

OK, I just made that up. Ooh. Wonder if it'll work its way into everyday use.

Ah. I've got to do a re-install and probably a re-boot, according to an esteemed correspondent.

    Brb.

  • Small hiatus in proceedings...

...due to the inability to think of anything interesting to say.

Still can't, but thought I'd pop my head 'round the door.

Actually, I've been all over the place emotionally. I really do have to be in the right 'mood' for blogging and that particular mood has eluded me for quite a while.

I don't know how people keep their blogs going from day to day. Same as I don't know how TV/radio presenters remain chirpy on a daily basis. How is it that other people don't seem to get low like I do, I ask myself.

Then I ponder on that for a while, come to the conclusion that actually they probably do, it's just a matter of getting the hell on with it and putting up a front. Then I beat myself up a bit for being so inward-looking and pathetic in comparison, try and snap out of it, fail miserably and end up wallowing in my own festering bog of self-pitying bullshit even more.

And so the cycle goes on and on and on...

  • Kurt

He is now the world's top-earning dead celebrity.

    Is it any wonder, really.

    While I still can:

  • Drug salad

I popped all my tablets out of their blister packs, just for something to do. Thought they might look quite appetising all mixed up together. And I was right. Put them all in a bowl and created a nice, colourful drug salad:

    Colour code:
    Pink: Migraleve pink
    Yellow: Migraleve yellow
    Blue: Beta-blocker
    Green: Prozac
    Brown: Amitriptyline

    Yum.

These things are supposed to help my anxiety, depression, insomnia and migraines.

(If you listen carefully, you can hear me rattle.)

  • Oh, goody

The clocks go back tonight which means I get an extra hour of insomnia.

    Woohoo.
